San José, CA Budget and Community Growth Games 2012

Calling all San José, CA Residents!

On Saturday, January 21, 2012, The Innovation Games® Company and the City of San José, CA, will hold the City of San José Neighborhood Associations/Youth Commission 2012-2013 Budget Priority Setting Session in which hundreds of San José, CA, residents and community leaders will participate in a specially designed in-person serious game to identify budget priorities. Through collaboration and negotiation, these citizens will provide input on their priorities for the city’s Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Budget and identify how citizens and the city can work together to help their communities prosper and grow.

This community-based event is based on last year’s successful budget prioritization event, which provided the Mayor’s Office with actionable community information because the games discourage partisan rhetoric and produce real consensus. This second annual budget prioritization exercise promises to cover more ground, as many citizens will bring their experiences from the first event.
